Alligators, Animal Attractions and Wildlife
When most people think of Florida’s wildlife, one animal in particular comes to mind: the alligators. Did you know that Florida also has black bear, snakes and panthers? Take a break from the theme parks and enjoy some of these attractions and learn more about the native wildlife in Florida.
Sea World Discovery Cove
is the best place for one-on-one animal encounters! Sea World has outdone itself with the offerings at this park.
You can swim with a dolphin, learn about training the animals, enjoy floating along the lazy river and more.
This park is the only park that offers all inclusive packages. The cost of your one day ticket includes parking, lunch, beverages, snacks and equipment.
A word of warning though, you’ll need to book early as this park only accepts 1,000 guests per day.
Gatorland
got its start as a roadside attraction in 1949. Located at the head of the everglades, this 110 acre theme park and conservatory has been dubbed the ‘alligator capital of the world’. If you are looking to see a lot of ‘gators this is the place to go.
Years ago, before Walt Disney came to town, Central Florida was known for its wide open spaces. If you want to get away from the attractions and explore some of the less traveled areas try a horseback ride at
